About the Role
You'll be responsible for delivering engaging and effective training through our Day School and Walk & Train programs. Every day is different, with opportunities to work with dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities while building their confidence, manners, and obedience.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct one-on-one training sessions during Day School and Walk & Train programs.
Safely transport dogs to and from training locations (if required).
Implement training plans using sound, proven methods.
Monitor each dog's progress and provide detailed feedback to clients.
Maintain high standards of animal welfare, safety and hygiene.
Work closely with the GTK9 team to deliver exceptional customer service.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
Previous dog training experience (professional experience preferred).
Strong understanding of canine behaviour and learning principles.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Confidence handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
A current driver's licence and a clean driving record.
Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team with professionalism.
Desirable Qualifications
Nationally recognised dog training or animal behaviour qualification.
Experience in puppy training, obedience, and behavioural modification.
Current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
